Sources close to the diamond TMZ have disclosed that Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring is valued at $2 million which is worth almost half as much as her Beverly Hills Mansion. The ring is designed by Lorainne Schwartz and it features a 16.5 carat emerald cut center stone that is flanked by a two carat trapezoids totaling 20.5 carats likely weighs about 4 ounces or more.
The ring is suitable for a person who attends press conferences, events and errands that don’t require much physical agility, but for a regular women who types, texts, goes to the gym and shops for groceries, a piece of jewelry that size would make life extremely difficult.
Sources that are close to the couples have disclosed that Kris Humphries has two bible verses inscribed on the ring that have special meanings to Kim and Kris but so far the couple has refused to reveal which passages are written on the ring.
The couple have been dating for six months and to Kim, the engagement came as a surprise and she said that she didn’t expect it to happen at home and to her, it came as a shock. Expert Michael O’Connor tells Us Weekly that the ring is a true jewelry. He also says that the emerald cut center is a classic cut but the trapezoids modernize the style. Since the ring center diamond is rectangular shaped, it elongates Kim’s hand making it to look more elegant on her.
